MC is born into your typical FIlipino family, immigrant parents who gave up everything for their kids to live in America to have a better life. Leaving MC as the black sheep in the family to have their heart set in pursuing a “not so stable career” in the arts. MC not only feels out of place at home, but with themselves in understanding their Filipino roots. WIth the encouragement of their best friend and mentor, they apply for an internship under the famous Director Tabanao, who MC and their family has always looked up to. MC is now tasked with writing a pitch for a short film on what it means to be FIlipino/ Filipino identity. MC interviews multiple of her friends & family to be able to understand the concept of Filipino identity. Once sharing the pitch with the Director, they learn the Director may not be all that they thought they were and things take a turn for the worse…

MC Lopez-Pascua

MC was raised in America, embracing its rich cultural heritage throughout their life. They aspire to become a distinguished film director, driven by a strong, resilient spirit despite limited familial support. With a blend of determination and a touch of stubbornness, MC remains deeply passionate about pursuing their creative vision and achieving personal fulfillment over conventional practicality.

River Lopez-Pascua

Played by Angel Corpuz

River exemplifies the ideal child, consistently fulfilling every expectation with remarkable dedication. In contrast to MC, River is widely regarded by their parents as the epitome of success, always adhering to rules and family values. As an overprotective older sibling, River not only follows established guidelines but also strives to understand and support MC, balancing responsibility with empathy.

Professor Padilla

Played by Riana Villamil

Professor Padilla serves as an esteemed instructor in the Media program, where both MC and Jayden are enrolled. With a profound commitment to the arts, Professor Padilla actively cultivates a supportive and innovative classroom environment. Their dedication to encouraging creative exploration and integrating artistic principles into the curriculum inspires students to pursue excellence and achieve personal growth.

Director Tabanao

Played by Maliah Pajo

Riadel Lopez-Pascua

Riadel is a devoted mother to both MC and River, having made significant sacrifices alongside her husband to secure a promising future for her children. A traditionalist at heart, she upholds a distinct vision of success and is steadfast in her expectation that her children embrace her ideals. Known for her authoritative presence, Riadel sets clear boundaries, embodying the principle that her word is law.

Roni Lopez-Pascua

Played by Angelo Marquez

Roni is a devoted father to MC and River, deeply rooted in traditional values that he shares with his wife, Riadel. Lolo Florencio
